Europa Technologies publish a map each day at 3GSM World Congress Asia – Day 2, “GSM Frequency Bands 2006”

Yesterday, Europa Technologies announced that it would publish a GSM map for each of the three exhibition days of 3GSM World Congress Asia 2006, Singapore. On the second day of this premier event, GSMA Award nominee Europa Technologies has released an updated map showing 3GSM frequency bands across the world. The map be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat PDF format from www.coveragemaps.com

The map provides valuable information to mobile operators and international travellers who need to know the GSM frequency bands used in each country. While a traveller may be able to enjoy roaming when abroad, it is essential that their handset is capable of the GSM bands used. For example, a European tri-band handset (GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900) will not be capable of utilising a GSM 850-only network in the USA.
